I’m Alecia, The Plugged in Mom, a divorced mom of two children. My method of becoming “Plugged In” helps Moms to navigate their own journey without all the stress, frustration, overwhelm, and exhaustion. This journey can actually be fun, more than most realize, regardless of the challenges. You just need someone to show you how to make it happen!
I’m glad you’re here, it’s nice to virtually meet you. Let me tell you a little bit more about myself: I am a happily divorced Mom with two children, 13 and 11, that I now homeschool. Each child has had diagnoses under the mental illness umbrella as well as ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I’ve navigated therapies, hospitalizations, evaluations, the schools, and the legal system with my children and done so with resilience, determination, strength, and while taking care of myself and my own autoimmune disease, building a business to support myself and my family, and most importantly – having fun!
I have my MBA in Technology Management and an MS in Psychology. I currently live in the Orlando, Florida area with my children and two chocolate labs. In my off time, I enjoy traveling, being outside, and being close to the ocean, cooking, and dancing in my kitchen!
“Coaching in its truest sense is giving the responsibility to the learner to help them come up with their own answers.”
– Vince Lombardi.
While I’m not a huge football fan, I do believe that this is the core of coaching, and where my passion lies. I want to help women improve their lives and one-on-one coaching is an incredible way to hold yourself accountable, get support from someone who isn’t just talking the talk (I’ve truly walked some unbelievable walks!), and move forward in your life.
The Plugged in Moms group is a place where Moms can support each other to walk this journey, their OWN way. Letting go of expectations that have been placed on us by society, family, friends, and self-imposed. I was there just like so many not too long ago. There were days when I wished I had more than 24 hours in a day to get it all done – home, kids, career, and for awhile spouse until my divorce. I was overwhelmed, frustrated, and taking care of me was on the back burner ALL the time. I want to empower women like us to build the life they want, in a trusting, caring community.
Much like Plugged in Mom, there’s a void in the supportive world for moms who are building a business that accommodates their life, and not building a life that accommodates their business – that’s a key distinction that so many of us lose sight of while building a business. Join the waitlist so you’ll be the first to know when the program launches.
